Organic Nepal White Tea

We’re delighted to offer an outstanding organic white tea from the Kanchanjangha Tea Estate and Research Center (KTERC) in Nepal, which also produces our Organic Nepal Black Tea and Organic Nepal Green Tea. Nestled in the Himalayan foothills of Mt. Kanchanjangha at an altitude of 3,900 – 5,000 feet above sea level, KTERC is the first tea estate in Nepal to receive organic certification. This exceptional white tea consists of hand-picked and lightly twisted silvery-green downy tea buds. The resulting liquor offers a tantalizing cup brimming with delicate floral notes, hints of vanilla, muscatel, and a buttery smooth finish.

Named “Prakash” by the KTERC, meaning “bright light” in Nepali, this is also the middle name of the founder’s father, Mr. Deepak Prakash Banskota. Mr. Banskota is the visionary behind Kanchanjangha Tea Estate and Research Center and has been a beacon of leadership, pioneering the organic and cooperative movements in Nepal. He also served the nation as the State Minister for Home Affairs. KTERC takes great pride in naming this premium white tea after him, honoring his legacy of enlightenment and progress.
